Description: Abstract “Cave Art”, this painting was inspired by my desire to explore hidden, yet vital primal support systems. We all need oxygen to live; yet many of the tiny organisms that keep us alive exist in caves under our feet. They are invisible to the eye, yet they are the beating heart of our physical world and these caves teem with life. I believe that everything around us has an afterlife, a residue that lives on. We are so much more than our bodies. We are so much more than what we perceive with our five senses.
Part of my cave series, this painting is powerful and speaks to a broader audience. Thinly layered acrylic paint in earth rich tones gives it a translucent quality and a warm presence in any room.
